A written appeal from the board, this annual event celebrates the positive changes the mothers in our family treatment programs have made. Funds go to enhance mother/child services.

Georgia State Drug Court Conference
Held in Atlanta, Georgia, Judge Juanita Stedman presented at this year's conference. Judge Stedman is a juvenile court judge for Cobb County and heads the two juvenile drug treatment courts.

Second Annual Shopping Event
Held at Traton Homes, this event featured music by Melissa Bukovinc, great food and 20 local designers selling their designs. A percentage of sales that night went to benefit Reconnecting Families, Inc.

 Posh Moms shopping event benefits Reconnecting Families
Coordinated by Jennifer Shields and Shannon Masterson of Posh Mom Events, the private shopping night featured specialty items from a number of local businesses, and benefited Reconnecting Families. The program, in partnership with the Cobb County Juvenile Drug Court to help families affected by substance abuse will receive a portion of the evening’s proceeds. “We put those families back together,” Judge Juanita Stedman said. “It is our privilege to be part of their lives.”

 State Drug Court Conference –Peachtree City , GA
Both drug court treatment teams from Cobb County Juvenile Court attended the two day conference that highlighted treatment perspectives and provided training opportunities for the teams. Both courts were asked to present at the conference.

 Women’s Self Defense Class

 Reconnecting Families Launch Party
Reconnecting Families launched their not-for-profit initiative with an incredible celebration that was hosted by U.S. Congressman Phil Gingrey and Georgia State Representative Judy Manning. Judge Juanita Stedman honored several program participants at the event. The reception was well attended by the community, and Cobb EMC donated $1,000 dollars. Six Beans Catering and Food Shop in East Cobb sponsored the event for 200 people.
